The facts behind a KISS

A kiss stimulates the nerve ending on our lips and prompts our brain to cue Dopamine, a neurotransmitter associated with pleasure. One kiss requires 146 muscles to coordinate, including 34 facial muscles and 112 postural. Our adrenal system releases Adrenaline and noradrenaline while kissing that puts our whole body into an excited state by an increase in heart rate. 6.4 calories per minute are burned when kissed passionately.
