Cow dung contains a bacteria Mycobacterium vaccae, which activates a group of neurons in the brain that produce serotonin – a neurotransmitter that contributes to feelings of well being and happiness. Cow dung is also hailed for its anti-bacterial properties and is the best natural disinfectant. Application of cow dung for soil enrichment is an age old agricultural practice as it is one of the best forms of natural fertiliser. Cow dung acts as a natural mosquito repellent and also insects like scorpions, centipedes etc don’t come near to the places which are coated with the paste of Cow dung. Interestingly Cow dung can absorb all the three rays : ALPHA, BETA and GAMMA, and can block harmful radiations, and the floors which are coated with cow dung remain warm in winters and cold in summers.
